Nathan has gained, through his suffering, the ability to show others that rather than making our lives perfect, God reaches into our imperfections and works through them – His power is made perfect in our weakness.
I started relying on myself and telling God what I would, or wouldn’t, be doing. But then, my perspective was dramatically changed.
Again came the question, “Why?” Again came the answer. “This is what Jesus has called me to do.”
We’ve all seen it, or have been affected by it one way or another: Faith becoming shipwrecked on the shores of academia thought. Perhaps it’s been in the form of our inability to give a sound defense for our beliefs in the midst of an agnostic culture. Or perhaps it’s simply our own secret nagging doubts, “Is what I believe really real?”
